about

I'm currently a Masters Candidate in Information Management Systems at the UC Berkeley School of Information with an emphasis in Human Computer Interaction. My work and academic interests include design strategy, distributed cognition and role of user research in strategic decision-making. I am currently a research assistant working with Professor Bob Glushko to create a design curriculum for future masters students, and have served as a teaching assistant for CS 160: User Interface Design, Evaluation and Prototyping.

I'm also currently serving as the product manager at TGS, Inc., a seed stage, Berkeley-based media sharing/social networking startup. This past summer I was a research intern in the Service Practices group at IBM Almaden Research Center and worked as a User Experience Researcher at Bolt | Peters.

In 2006, I received my B.S. in Cognitive Science with emphasis in Human-Computer Interaction from the University of California, San Diego, where I worked in the Interactive Cognition Lab.

In my spare time, I am also the editor-in-chief of the Hardball Times, a leading online baseball think tank whose work is regularly featured at Fox Sports and whose books have sold over 15,000 copies since 2004.
